PLA

PLA, also known as poly(propylene glycol), is named after its ring-opening polymerisation of lactic acid cyclic dimers (i.e. propylene glycol), which has good transparency, gloss, antibacterial properties, acid and alkali resistance, good biodegradability, excellent material properties, large future application areas, expected to have large-scale applications in the field of daily necessities, textiles, medical and health care, etc., with a broad alternative market space.

PBAT

PBAT, a copolymer of butylene adipate and butylene terephthalate, has the characteristics of both PBA and PBT, with good ductility, elongation at break, heat resistance and impact resistance, as well as excellent biodegradability. It has good film-forming properties and is often blended and modified with PLA resins and other end products for use in plastic packaging films, agricultural films, disposable utensils, etc.

Therefore, PLA and PBAT have become the best answer to the market choice due to their excellent application performance and practicality, gaining high recognition in the market and eventually rapidly occupying half of the biodegradable plastics market.
