（The National Day of the People's Republic of China is also known as "Eleventh Day", "National Day", "National Day", "Chinese National Day" and "National Golden Week". Since 1950, the Central People's Government has declared 1 October, the day the People's Republic of China was proclaimed, to be the National Day.

The National Day of the People's Republic of China is a symbol of the country that came with the founding of the new China and became particularly important. National Day is a new, universal form of holiday that carries the function of reflecting the cohesion of our country and nation. At the same time the large-scale celebrations on National Day are a concrete expression of the government's mobilising and rallying power. The four basic characteristics of National Day celebrations are to demonstrate national strength, boost national confidence, reflect cohesion and exert a rallying force. Every National Day in China, enterprises and institutions hang lanterns or banners and use slogans such as "Celebrate the National Day" to celebrate the National Day, while bonsai and hydrogen balloons with slogans are placed in the square to welcome the National Day in a joyful atmosphere.
